I am a PhD student of the Fishell Department of Bioengineering, University of Maryland at College Park. Presently I work as a Graduate Research Assistant in ITL (Imaging Technologies Laboratory) of University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Research Area

My research area is nonrigid 3D multimodality image registration and its clinical applications such as image-guided surgery. The registration aims to adjust preprocedural images according to intraprocedural images and align them to augment the intraprocedural images with complementary information from preprocedural images (with higher quality or sensitivity). Closely collaborating with clinicians, I'm working on algorithmic prototypes of real-time surgical image guidance. Examples include integration of preprocedural contrast-enhanced CT into intraprocedural ultrasound and that of preprocedural PET into intraprocedural CT.
